Trump’s Son Compares Waterboarding To What Happens In Frat Houses ‘Every Day’
WASHINGTON (CNN) – Donald Trump is no longer questioning Sen.
‘You see these terrorists that are flying planes into buildings.
Trump said Saturday night during the eighth Republican debate that he would support bringing back waterboarding of suspected terrorists and “worse” – but he has not specified what he would support beyond waterboarding.
Now his 32-year-old son, who is an Executive Vice President of The Trump Organisation and founder of the Eric Trump Foundation, supported his father’s sentiments during a discussion with Fox News. “And then somebody complains when, you know, a terrorist gets waterboarded, which quite frankly is no different than what happens on college campuses in frat houses every day”.
“And, you know, [my father] would keep this country safe. I mean, he would be very, very, very, tough”.
‘He’s sick of seeing what’s happening to this country, whether it be on trade, whether it be $19trillion worth of national debt, whether it be terrorists coming in and trying to infiltrate our country. He’s a very tough guy’.
In 2012, The New York Times reported about fraternity members using waterboarding techniques in a disturbing hazing scandal.
“Its been so disappointing to see some presidential candidates engaged in loose talk on the campaign trail about reviving waterboarding and other inhumane interrogation techniques”, US Senator John McCain said.
“While some have shamefully sought to minimize the practice of waterboarding, it is clear to me that this practice, which is a simulated execution by drowning, amounts to torture as a reasonable person would define it. That’s why the United States has tried, convicted, and executed foreign combatants who employed methods of torture, including waterboarding, against American prisoners of war”.
‘We have people in the Middle East who are chopping off the heads of Christians.
