Bill Romanowski under fire for calling Cam Newton ‘boy’ on Twitter
Romanowski, who was one of the more controversial players in the league during his 16-season NFL career, criticized Cam Newton for the way the QB walked out of his postgame media conference.
Nevertheless, Romanowski has found himself back at the center of those arguments with his rant against Newton. Steroid-gobbling and disgraced former player Bill Romanowski called Newton, 26, a “boy”.
Bill Romanowski is making headlines for the wrong reasons… again.
He also spat on 49ers receiver J.J. Stokes in 1997 and got in a fight with Raiders teammate Marcus Williams in 2003 that reportedly caused brain damage.
Sports Illustrated claimed in 2000 that Romanowski used racist remarks, including the N-word, something Romanowski emphatically denied. “I didn’t like the way he handled the press conference”, said Romanowski.
However, a few hours later on Monday, Bill apologized for his comments.
Marcio Jose Sanchez/AP Race continues to be at the forefront of the discussion surrounding Cam Newton.
It turns out that while he was being interviewed, he could hear the Broncos cornerback Chris Harris trash-talking him and his team.
It’s easy to see why Newton was upset.
With the camera focused on Newton, Harris’ voice can clearly be heard saying, “Load the box, force y’all to throw the ball”.
