Lumia 650 DS and Lumia 650 XL could arrive next week
According to The News Independent, Microsoft which remains a major player in the field of technology is looking to scrap the Lumia series of devices for good.
The upcoming Last Lumia, the Lumia 650, which is slated to be released this month, will feature a 5.5 inched screen, along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
Lumia, which has become a synonym of Microsoft Mobile, the phone making subsidiary of Microsoft is all set to vanish all together. Back then, rumors suggested that the Lumia 850 would be called “Honjo”, but now the plan is changed and the Lumia 650 XL will be called by the new name. We have recently seen a concept of the Microsoft Lumia 888 but it does seem that the concept is going in the totally wrong direction. One of which is the Forced HDR, which is noted to be one of the needs for the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL devices.
Accordingly, the products are the first Lumia phones to come pre-loaded with Windows 10 – delivering on Microsoft promise of one familiar and consistent experience that transitions seamlessly across Windows devices from key apps like Office built-in to access to all your stuff via OneDrive and the cloud.
Mobile Fun, a UK-based retailer, posted all the specs of Lumia 650 on its site, last month.
WinBeta reported that Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview build 10586.71 was rolled out to participants in the fast ring this past week.
With several rumors surfacing about smartphones being developed by Microsoft, there has been a lot of confusion arising about them and they refuse to die down. The device is expected to launch on February 15.
The Lumia 950XL, on the other hand, sports a bigger 5.7-inch IPS display (2,560 x 1440 pixel) and 518ppi pixel density. Rumored Lumia 650 price range is between $150 and $200 unlocked, which sounds fair for a handset with these kinds of specs. So what do you guys think? A side-by-side picture of the device with Lumia 1520 clearly indicates a 5.4-inch display. Or the goodbye phone doesn’t matter if a Surface Phone is in the works?
