Technical snag in video conference delays Headley’s deposition
Lashkar-e-Taiba operative David Coleman Headley continued to depose before a Mumbai court presided by special judge G A Sanap via a video-link from the U.S. on Wednesday. He said the LeT as a whole is responsible for terror attacks in India on that Wednesday and it can be speculated that all orders come from Lakhvi since he is the top commander.
However, the video link could not be established for over three hours this morning, following which the testimony from an undisclosed location in the US had to be called off and has been slated for Thursday.
All the data and locations were stored in a Global Positioning System device provided by Sajid Mir and Abu Khafa, which he later handed over to Sajid Mir, Headley added.
He also did surveillance at the Oberoi Hotel and the entire stretch of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Marg in Colaba, where Leopold Café (one of the places hit in the 26/11 attacks) is located, as well as Chabad House (Nariman House), another actual target on November 26, 2008.
In response to questions posed by Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, Headley admitted to working both for the LeT and the ISI. He stayed there on the second floor with wife Faiza, where he conducted surveillance of the floor, reports The Hindu.
