Forecast: Snow, coastal flooding possible in New Jersey
Although southeast Missouri saw little more than flurries on Monday, the real news for the region weather-wise is the cold temperatures that will be sticking around the area through at least the beginning of next week.
This morning’s commute should be free of weather-related troubl, e but this evening’s ride home as well as Wednesday morning’s trip to work might be impacted.
ASHE COUNTY-Forecasters based in the National Weather Service’s Blacksburg, VA, office said Ashe and surrounding counties in southwestern Virginia will remain under a winter storm watch through February 11. Highs will be chilly with temperatures reching around 20.
“The snow has the potential to fall at a moderate to heavy rate at times Tuesday and Tuesday night”, Monday’s advisory reads. Temperatures will be in the 20s for the most part with lows reaching the single digits this weekend. West wind 9 to 13 miles per hour. Though there shouldn’t be any more accumulating snow later Wednesday, show showers are possible through the day.
A winter storm warning will go into effect at midnight tonight through 5 a.m. Wednesday for Adams, Lancaster and York counties.
Impacts…snow covered roads and travel disruptions possible. Some light snow could linger into Tuesday afternoon, but much of the accumulation will be over by midday Tuesday.
“We expect a chance of rain and snow after 3 p.m. Monday”, said National Weather Service meteorologist Isha Renta.
Up to 3 inches of snow could fall around Boone.

Thursday will be mostly cloudy, but the chance of light snow remains. “Snowfall accumulations of 1″ to 3” will be possible on average, with isolated 4″+ in Eastern Kentucky higher elevations. We are caught in a northwest flow, which brings cold air and snow showers from time to time.
