Destiny’s Crimson Days Ode To Valentine’s Is Live
A special Crucible mode dubbed Crimson Doubles is also available, and as you might surmise from its name, it pits teams of two against one another.
Aside from that, the update brings numerous fixes to the game and implements new Crucible playlists. The event itself begins today at 10 AM PST/6 PM GMT/7 PM CEST and will last until the weekly reset on February 16th. It’s actually an Elimination variant and the first team to win five rounds succeeds. Crimson Days is the Destiny universe equivalent of Valentine’s Day, and as such you’ll notice the Tower covered in banners of red, with roses littering the ground on which you tread.
In the event of a partner falling during battle the living player will become heartbroken and will be “infused with the power of Broken Heart” to help take revenge allowing them to draw weapons faster and have their recovery posted to maximum and the buff remains in place until they die or are victorious. The buff will end on three conditions: the round ends, the partner dies or the buffed player dies.
Taking part will see you earn new Emblems and Shaders, with the possibility of unlocking a Valentine’s Day-themed Ghost Shell which can provide up to 320 Light Level. One is called the Crimson Candy, which is a consumable item that will boost the EXP gained by the fireteam for 30 minutes.
Destiny’s February update is now live on all platforms, and that means it’s time to dive into the game’s new Crimson Days event. Hopefully, Bungie’s Destiny Crimson Days event is enough to attract more players, at least for the time being.
