Denver Wins Super Bowl 50 Over Carolina
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton walked out of his postgame press conference following the Panthers loss in Super Bowl 50.
Cam Newton defends his post game actions by saying, “I’ve been on record as saying I’m a sore loser”.
Peyton led the Denver Broncos to a 24-10 victory against the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. That’s how I’ll remember this game: a MVP QB clamming up after feeling Wade Phillips’ wrath for four quarters, a MVP QB who tapped out. Nor will it silence those who dislike Newton and have been outspoken in the days since the Panthers lost. I don’t know what you want me to say. “It’s not a popularity contest”. But the Super Bowl is just a single game, while the other championships are best-of-seven series. But Tuesday, Newton stopped to talk with the media while cleaning out his locker at Bank of America Stadium. “You have a 68-year-old guy who is hip to everyday events and everyday dances and all that stuff”. If you want me be this type of person, I’m not that. I never once offended anybody along that, but at the end of the day, we had an unbelievable season. “I’m sure he’ll sit down with his family and then eventually we’ll talk to him, too, and go through that”.
“I think he had to rush out to do a Life Alert commercial”, Miller said jokingly. “I never proclaimed that I was flawless, but at the end of the day, people pick and do things of that sort”.
Newton says he has no more tears to cry after a respectable 17-2 season, and the team will be back with the same enthusiasm next year.
Newton said if he caused offense, “That’s cool”. He hates to lose, and that’s what you love in him.
“If anyone wants to question Newton putting his body on the line, they obviously haven’t watched… and that narrative is comical”, Olsen said. “We had two weeks to prepare and it just felt really good that our preparation, you could see that on a lot of those trick plays and everything that they did, they really helped out that week”.
