The Galaxy S7 Edge has a big battery
Samsung Galaxy Note 5, S6 edge+ and original S6 duo users may no longer have to wait for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update as news about the Android 6.0.1 coming just surfaced. The Galaxy S7 apparently features a magnesium metal frame instead of the aluminum used for the Galaxy S6.
Samsung has recently announced that the much-awaited Galaxy S7 and the S7 EDGE will be officially unveiled on February 21, 2016, a day before the Mobile World Congress commences in Barcelona. Furthermore, the smartphone could also sport an “Always On Display”, a feature that draws very little power and show the time and notifications on the screen without turning on the handset. However, the camera has been upgraded and now sits flush with the rest of the device.
Though not mentioned under the same filing, the Galaxy S7 is expected to come with a slightly smaller 3,000-mAh battery.
The pictures of the S7, which apparently show the back of the standard model and the larger, curved-screen “Edge” version, emerged on Vietnamese tech website ReviewDao and on the Chinese social network Weibo.
The new gray color option, along with the larger 5.5-inch screen, will be the biggest change aesthetically for the Galaxy S7 Edge.
There will also be 4GB of RAM and a choice of 32GB and 64GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot for expansion. However, judging by the exterior design of the smartphone, the base variants will be similar to the Galaxy S6.
We’ve already seen plenty of leaked renders for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.
