Unruly passenger diverts Boston-San Diego flight to Denver
Alaska Airlines flight 769 was heading from Boston to San Diego when it had to be diverted to the Denver International Airport at approximately 8:30 p.m.
No charges for the man who forced an Alaska Airlines flight headed to San Diego to land in Denver. At one point, she said, he threatened the flight crew.
Sullivan said the beverage cart was placed next to his seat to prevent the man from getting up.
Montgomery said the flight was diverted to Denver because of a passenger disturbance onboard.
There was a law enforcement officer on board, Zaninovich said, but it is unclear at this time what his role was in the situation.
The passenger reportedly issued a threat and captain made a decision to land at nearest airport out of abundance of caution.
He was not arrested and the airline said it was a matter of customer service.
Flight 769 continued on to San Diego after a delay of about 45 minutes on the ground in Denver, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune.
