Team USA Claim’s Gold in Pan Am Games Women’s Baseball Tournament!

On Sunday, with Pan Am athletes in the house, and Pan Am closing ceremony flag bearer Kia Nurse – a basketball star – on the podium, he doubled down.

The United States is expected to put forward a strong bid for the 2024 Games and has already selected Boston as its applicant city. In its recent efforts, Toronto finished third behind Atlanta and Athens for the 1996 summer games and second to Beijing for the 2008 Olympic Games.
“This is working for the candidacy”, Aubut clarified. “We are always there in artistic discipline, so they were a real surprise to me”. It lacks a centerpiece track and field stadium, and would need to build an athletes’ village. “It’s the biggest show on earth, the Summer Olympic Games”.
American gymnast Laura Zeng was the only competitor to win five gold medals.
Virginia Tech assistant professor Robert Oliver has studied Toronto’s failed bids and said residents may be feeling some “bid fatigue”.
Aubut focused on successful Winter Games in Vancouver and Calgary, and downplayed Montreal.
“It doesn’t have to cost $10 billion and I don’t think it will because (IOC president) Thomas Bach is squarely against that”.
“It 40 years since Montreal 76”, he said. “We knew it was our time, this is our space”.
As Toronto gets into the mix, Boston’s bid is floundering with local approval falling below 50 percent.

Aubut emphasized Toronto’s diversity.
