West Brom transfers: James Chester set for £8million Baggies switch from Hull
Hull defender James Chester is set to sign for Premier League side West Bromwich Albion, as stated by a report today.
The 26-year-old Wales worldwide is due at the club for a medical this afternoon with terms agreed to move to The Hawthorns.
However they were relegated last season and now look like losing a key player in Chester.
Elsewhere, West Brom have confirmed on their Twitter feed on Tuesday morning that they have not received any offers from any clubs for English striker Saido Berahino this summer.
Pulis has already signed Wigan winger James McClean and remains keen on Nottingham Forest’s Michail Antonio, despite having a £5million bid turned down, QPR’s Matt Phillips and Arsenal’s Serge Gnabry.
The likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Southampton and Everton were just a few of the names said to be interested in Chester but in recent times, it was believed that West Bromwich Albion were ramping up their pursuit for the 26-year old.
Hull announced Taylor’s arrival alongside confirmation of a deal to take Chesterfield midfielder Sam Clucas to the KC Stadium after the former Mansfield Town man scored 9 goals in 41 appearances last term.
