Carly Fiorina ends 2016 Republican bid for President
Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina announced Wednesday that she suspended her 2016 presidential campaign in a Facebook message on her official page.
Fiorina said that she had “no regrets” about running for President, despite her dismal showing in New Hampshire.
“This campaign was always about citizenship-taking back our country from a political class that only serves the big, the powerful, the wealthy, and the well connected”, Fiorina said in a statement.
Fiorina did not participate in Saturday night’s GOP debate in Manchester, with ABC limiting the field to the top seven candidates based on national polls.
“I heard Bill was out there too”, he said, as she asked him how he was fairing with the frigid weather.
Still, Fiorina struck a chord with many Republican voters, many of whom were especially drawn to her fierce anti-abortion viewpoints and spirited appearances on the campaign trail and in debates.
For the second day in a row, Fiorina vowed she would have a strong performance in the primary. I talk about why I’m the most qualified candidate to win this job and to do this job. “People have said that when I tell my story I’m playing the gender card”.
“I can assure you, in both of those locker rooms right now, there is a coach sitting there talking to those teams and saying, ‘You know, we’ve had a great season, we’ve had a great run to this point, and it all comes down to this game now”.
For those who would criticize him for supporting a Republican, or who believe an LGBT person should automatically support Clinton or Bernard Sanders, Bowmaster had a message: Write down everything you believe on a piece paper, then see which candidate aligns with the majority of your views. “I sure do!” Clinton said. “It’s just a lot of cutting of each other”.
