Zoolander 2 brings back the famous Magnum but is it that easy for Derek Zoolander to pull off after a long period of isolation? Owen Wilson will return as frenemy and fellow model, Hansel, and Will Ferrell will be back as fashion-villain Mugatu. She’s really just there to help Derek achieve his means. In his dying moments, Bieber has, of course, managed to take – and instagram – a final selfie in which he pulls off the ideal “Blue Steel”, a facial expression of chiselled yet smouldering male beauty pioneered by Zoolander all those years ago. There’s a protracted riff on this wacky group of characters Hansel’s been sleeping with as a sort of live-in orgy; it flops at the start, but they keep dragging it out right to the end of the film. Valentina needs them because all the dead pop stars expired with one of Derek’s patented “looks” on their faces. When one of the funniest men alive can’t find anything to work with in your movie, you know you’re in deep trouble.
