LG unveils the Quick Cover case for the still unannounced G5
The LG G5 is set to feature a significant redesign over last year’s G4 while featuring a 5.1-inch screen with a super high resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels.
As we wait for LG’s G5 to be announced on February 21, at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the South Korean company has already announced an official case for the upcoming G5.
Now, ahead of the launch of the LG G5, the company has introduced the touch-enabled Quick Cover for the LG G5 (as shown above). The latest example is LG, which has cheekily introduced a new Quick Cover case for the “yet-to-be announced LG G5”. So you’ll be able to see your Always On display with all the usual info clear as day, while the rest of your tacticle opions will be available through the body of cover itself. This leads to the conclusion that the LG G5 may indeed have a metal finish, as the rumors suggest. This is a touch-enabled cover for the phone that’s similar to the LG K10’s Quick Cover View.
As you can see in the image above, the cover features a metallic finish, a utilitarian but durable look that won’t appeal to some, but that LG calls “luxurious”. Going by the teaser, it seems that the “always on” feature will display basic information such as time, date, and basic notifications in a semi-lit black and white background. By continually developing highly competitive core technologies in the areas of display, battery, camera optics and LTE technology, LG creates handsets and wearables that fit the lifestyles of a wide range of people all over the world.
