It’s Time Up For X Factor Voice-Over Man
When he was asked if he was done with the show, Walsh responded: “I’ve done 11 seasons – that’s a long time in television”.
What’s the show going to do without its most famous voice? His own Peter Dickson’s Nightcap ran for four years on Radio 2.
Despite being on the programme since the very beginning, and providing some of our best moments (Rachel Adedeji is a personal favourite) the X Factor will have to find a new introducing man.
Peter Dickson – the booming voiceover artist who has become synonymous with the show – has quit “The X Factor” after 11 years.
The 58-year-old actor, presenter and voiceover artist’s fans took to Twitter to reveal their disappointment. Another added: “But you’re the best thing on it”.
The changes made are part of Simon Cowell’s attempt to reboot the appeal of his flagging reality show, following last December’s news that ratings had fallen to an all-time low of 8.4 million viewers.
But as the auditions for the next series get under way, he has revealed he will not be joining judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw.
