Palestinians urge Oscar nominees to reject free Israel trip

Turkey and Israel will resume talks for the normalization of relations on Wednesday after a break of two months, the Israeli daily Haaretz reported on Tuesday.
The witnesses said clashes broke out on Wednesday between dozens of Palestinian stone throwers and Israeli soldiers outside the refugee camp, after an Israeli army force tried to storm the camp for arrests.
According to Israeli official figures, Palestinians carried out more than 170 stabbing attacks since October 1 of previous year.
The head of the Labour-led Zionist Union coalition said he still wants a two-state solution, but does not believe Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas are capable of a breakthrough. At least 156 Palestinians, 110 of whom Israel says were attackers, were killed by Israeli fire during that time.
The talks, which come as Turkey’s relationship has worsened with Russian Federation, its main gas supplier, have raised hopes of progress in negotiations to import Israeli natural gas.
