Rubio turns up the heat on Republican rivals
It was hard to miss the anger and frustration in her voice over these charges during her concession speech in New Hampshire.
Republican Donald Trump basked in the glory of a win he promised would be the first of many, while a poor finisher in the Granite State, Marco Rubio, showcased a looser approach after an over-programmed debate performance raised questions about his readiness.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush finished in fourth place, Florida Sen. Cruz, who is viewed with deep disdain by many of his peers in Washington.
When Trump gets to SC today, he isn’t likely to find any GOP leaders in the Palmetto State who are eager to embrace his campaign. Sanders would be unable to crack.
On John Kasich, who came in at No. 2 in Tuesday’s statewide Republican election, Trump said he thought the OH governor was a “nice guy” until he heard his anti-Trump attack ad. Christie was sixth at 7%, a finish that left him without an apparent path to carry on. The following Tuesday, GOP voters make their choice in Nevada, while the Democratic primary in SC is on February 27. “I did not do well on Saturday night – listen to this: that will never happen again”.
Donald Trump says he will release his tax returns “over the next few months”, attributing the delay to the size and complex nature of his taxes. Many members of the CBC had already endorsed Clinton, with the notable exception of South Carolina Rep. James Clyburn.

Graham, who was part of the effort to pass that legislation, will argue Rubio lacks conviction because he immediately distanced himself from the bill once he saw the House wouldn’t take it up.
One candidate who may be ready to throw in the towel is New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie who cancelled an event in SC on the heels of his disappointing finish in the New Hampshire.

He drew contrasts with Mr Trump as he told a crowd of 500 in Myrtle Beach that Texans and South Carolinians were more alike than not. Rubio trailed Bush by less than a percentage point.

The word “expected” is the battleground on the Democratic side.
Mr Sanders, meanwhile, met the Rev Al Sharpton, a civil rights activist, at a Harlem restaurant.
“I have a chance of winning NY. We’ll need those people to defeat Hillary Clinton”. Bernie was going to win by a wide margin and he did.
Clinton also sent out a fundraising pitch to supporters. “Our disappointment tonight is not on you, it’s on me”, he told supporters. “Are you with me?” Republican voters in New Hampshire, as well as independents who could vote in the GOP primary, appeared to appreciate his moderate-conservative pragmatism, his broad experience in federal and state government, and his optimistic – if somewhat disingenuous to many Ohioans – calls for compassion toward disadvantaged people. But the former first lady has a wide lead among superdelegates – senior party officials and office holders.
This wasn’t necessarily a surprise to those who watched Rubio closely (or even to those who recall his water-gulping response to the State of the Union three years ago).
