Pervez Musharraf shifted to ICU of PNS Shifa hospital
Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf was rushed to hospital on Thursday evening after he fainted.
Musharraf said he did not believe what Headley said as intelligence agencies could have manipulated him. Doctors said they would conduct various tests on Mr. Musharraf to determine the cause of his fainting. “Pakistan intelligence should interrogate Headley”, he said.
Despite India’s furnishing repeated proof of Lashkar and its chief Hafiz Saeed’s involvement in the 26/11 attacks, Saeed roams free in Pakistan.
“LeT is not involved in terror in Pakistan”.
In 2014, Musharraf was taken to a military hospital in Rawalpindi after he suffered from cardiac pain.
Musharraf, 72, has been braving health issues for some time. He accused India of dominating the peace talks, saying: “You want to bulldoze us”.
He was rushed to PNS Shifa Hospital, where reports add, that he has been diagnosed with high blood pressure.
However, spokesman for Musharraf’s All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Brig (retd) Akhtar Zamin said the decision of relieving him from the hospital was taken after initial blood pressure reports came out normal.
