Aziz Ansari Announces Second Season of ‘Master of None’
For example, Netflix has now ordered a second season of Aziz Ansari’s series Master Of None. The Aziz Ansari-created comedy will come back for a sophomore season in 2017. “Thanks for all the support everyone!!” he tweeted on Thursday.
Earlier this year, Ansari told reporters at Netflix’s presentation at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, Calif. that he needed time to think about season 2. He said they want to make sure, “whatever we do for season two lives up to what we made in the first season”. “We’d love to do it. We’re figuring it out”.
Master of None stars Ansari as Dez, a thirty-year-old actor in NY, as he navigates his personal and professional life. [There were] things that happened to me hears ago, like the Indians on TV [episode] – that was something that definitely happened to me when I was starting out in my career. “The well is empty, but hopefully it will be refilled”.
The co-creators don’t want to rush season 2, and while the series has been renewed already, it is not scheduled to premiere until an undefined date in 2017.
The series co-starred Noel Wells, Lena Waithe, Kelvin Yu and Eric Wareheim, with Todd Barry having a recurring roles as a movie director.
