Kanye’s lyrics about Taylor Swift ignite new controversy
Ms. Swift herself has yet to respond, but her squad has.
Kanye West has dropped a new track online and confirmed that new album “The Life Of Pablo” will be released today (February 12).
It’s the Kanye West and Taylor Swift feud – the sequel.
The latest reports on the situation stated Kanye had called Taylor to personally ask her if he could use the lyric, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, I made that bitch famous”.
Unhappy with the rhymes, Swift’s 23-year-old brother, Austin Swift, took to Instagram hours after the show and posted a video in which he dumps his Yeezy 350 kicks in the trash.
“Getting a head start on some spring cleaning”, he said in an accompanying caption. “Here we go again”. Back in 2009, West annoyed Swift, her fans and pretty much everyone else in the universe when he stormed on stage to interrupt her acceptance speech for Female Video of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards. In a tweet, she made it clear where her loyalty lies.
This is not the first controversy involving West and Swift.
During one of his points, Kanye tried to point out that “b****” is an endearing term in hip-hop. West even gifted Swift a unique floral arrangement just days after the award show.
He declared that Beyonce should have won for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)”, instead of Swift for “You Belong With Me”.
Swift’s reps, however, verified that the exchange never took place. “I did not diss Taylor Swift and I’ve never dissed her”, he wrote.
Swift’s team has now released an official statement Friday, claiming that could not be further from the truth, saying, “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single “Famous” on her Twitter account”.
