Sherri Shepherd Inks Deal To Return To “The View”
Just one year after the popular comedian and actor left the daytime talk show when she and ABC could not come to an agreement over the details of her new contract, it is being reported that Shepherd will be back for the start of the new season in September. Fans have been wishing the show would return to it’s roots, and this is a step in the right direction.
Shepherd will be leading a group of six or so contributors that will reportedly include Stacey London and Molly Sims. While it isn’t the same as co-hosting, it will be great to see her back on the air.

Next season, The View will return to a five-host format after opting for four co-hosts this season.

In the earlier days of the show, Shepherd was among the more favorable hosts, sharing a 2009 Emmy with the then-cast for best talk show host. The two were supposed to have a child together and now that they are done, Shepherd wants nothing to do with the child.
Shepherd, who rose to fame through her comedic talents before rising to acting prominence with roles on Everybody Loves Raymond, The Jamie Foxx Show, 30 Rock and How I Met Your Mother, went on to win multiple awards for her work on The View.
