Senior buys Valentine’s Day flowers for each girl in his high school
If you’re in a relationship, you’re probably hoping your best-laid plans for Valentine’s Day are up to scratch.
In today’s sweetest news EVER, one wonderful teen stepped up to the plate in the name of this weekend’s holiday – by purchasing every single girl at Sky View High School in Utah a flower (834, to be exact). Thursday, he came to school with 900 carnations – one for every girl in school.
Godfrey bought NINE HUNDRED flowers from a website out of his own money he earned working several part time jobs including bagging groceries and washing dishes.
Sharing photos of the flowers on Facebook, Godfrey said, “I don’t think anything can compare to seeing every girl in your life holding a flower as they walk through the halls”.
Everyone could learn a lesson from Hayden about sharing love, with the “sensitive soul” – as Godfrey’s mother, Erin Godfrey, called Hayden – getting the idea from previous Valentine’s Day events.
Some of the girls, who are good friends with Godfrey, said they had no idea he was going to do this.
Hayden had to save for a year-and-a-half to pay for the 900 flowers.
His girlfriend of six months, 18-year-old Lilyan Sharp, said the gesture was “very special” and that he put a “giant smile” on the face of every girl in the school.
“I wanted to make as many people happy as possible”, Hayden said.
“That broke his heart on Valentine’s Day”.
“Hayden’s a great young man. It was a really nice effort”, Hanks said.
With replies ranging from people calling his gesture “awesome”, “incredible” and “the most fantastic thing in the world”, it’s fair to day it was received how he’d hopes.
“I, myself, spent a lot of Valentine’s Days not receiving anything”, she told ABC News. I know how it feels, ‘ she told ABC News.
