Samsung Galaxy S7 – Free Gear VR With Pre-Orders Expected

As reported by Android Authority, the display is reminiscent of the secondary display on the rugged LG V10, a feature that PCMag analyst Ajay Kumar found eye-catching but somewhat gimmicky.
The LG announcement comes in the form of a GIF (below) posted on the company’s Facebook page. We also see the phone will come out of the box with Android 6.0.1 and all the new emoji from that release.
We don’t know the full extent of the Always On screen’s functions, but the images show that it can display the time and date, as well as a series of notification icons.
Tweakers.net also lists specs and features for the two smartphones, which are pretty much in line with what we’ve heard so far.

With that, Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5 are expected to come out with the same feature.
It’s possible that the Galaxy S7 will have this feature because it’s said to use an AMOLED screen, which allows the screen to light up only certain parts of the screen. The Nexus 6P and the Moto X, for example, only display pertinent info on screen when you perform specific gestures.
