Bayern boss heavily linked with shock Man City job
Bayern Munich intend to open talks with their coach Pep Guardiola over extending his contract beyond next summer at some stage this year, according to their chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
The Blues’ Chilean boss is expected to leave at the end of his contract next summer following a trophyless 2014/15 campaign.
Even in the absence of his immediate arrival, Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano – allegedly brought to Manchester with the ultimate aim of luring Guardiola – were reported as working on a proposal that would see Pep sign up in advance for a 2016 move.
If true, Guardiola will have left Bayern Munich after three consecutive seasons winning at least five major trophies for the German giants.
The starlet is reportedly not prepared to play in Spain’s third tier, Segunda B, after Barcelona B was relegated last season, but Luis Enrique doesn’t seem to have Adama, who made his La Liga debut at the age of 17 in 2013, in his first-team plans.
Pellegrini also asked City fans to keep stay behind him and his team – and promised them City will be chasing trophies on all fronts.
“I don’t worry about the rumours”, he said.
“We really feel, especially in bad moments, their support”. “Only once did Pep say ‘I want this player” and that was with Thiago (Alcantara)”.
