Five Nights at Freddy’s World re-released for free on GameJolt
Cawthon himself wasn’t pleased with the initial release of FNaF World, and the decision to remove the game from Steam was entirely his.
McFarlane Toys will produce the figurines based on Scott Cawthon’s Five Nights at Freddy’s in a deal that owner and CEO Todd McFarlane reckons is the “perfect balance”. The turn-based RPG now has a 3D overworld, and a few more features, but generally speaking, it seems like not much else has changed. Smart money says that it will likely be another Five Nights at Freddy’s game, though whether or not it’s a more traditional entry in the series or another RPG spin-off remains to be seen.
The fact Cawthon is willing to give the game away for free is enough of an apology, but the developer plans to update the game with more new features and fixes as time goes on.
Well, the updated version of FNaF World has appeared for free over on GameJolt for the PC.
Cawthon had originally announced a February 19 release date for the game, but as has become typical for him, he surprised fans by releasing it on January 22.
FNAF creator Scott Cawthon has re-released Five Nights at Freddy’s Worlds after removing it from sale due to negative feedback.
It will be interesting to see what other updates are made to the game, since Cawthon stated that he would actually listen to fan requests for the re-release.
“I got too eager to show the things that were finished, that I neglected to pay attention to the things that weren’t”. You can download it from GameJolt here. Let us know in the comments.
