Ronda Rousey Unveiled as 2016 ‘Sports Illustrated’ Swimsuit Cover Model
They have spoken to plenty of wannabe newbies, putting together the Rookie Class they think will be up there with the best ever, as well as thinking long and hard about which model will appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2016.
Clauson is just 20 years old.
Sports Illustrated are gearing up to announce their cover model for their 2016 swimsuit edition in a TV special on February 13 at 10.30 p.m., that’s bound to get pulses racing. Not only is it great for the publication but it is also fantastic to see the stunning stars on the cover. Beauty is not “one size fits all.’ Beauty is all around us and that became especially obvious to me while shooting and editing this year’s issue”.
On choosing Hailey Clauson’s cover: “Hailey Clauson is the definition of a modern bombshell”.
“[It’s] not promoting just one cookie cutter image for every woman, but showing that the healthiest version of every body type is the sexiest version out there”, she said.
On choosing Ronda Rousey’s cover: “Ronda Rousey is a cultural phenomenon”.
Beginning Monday, 2/15, the new issue will be available on newsstands and the content will be accessible on the brand new SI Swimsuit App as well as on SI.com/swimsuit and on tablet editions of the magazine.
The Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue always generates a lot of publicity. The award was named after former Sports Illustrated editor Jules Campbell, who according to the Chicago Tribune planned and directed the annual swimsuit issue since 1965.
This marks Graham’s first appearance on the Sports Illustrated roster.
