Bosh out of NBA All-Star Game due to calf injury
Bosh has expressed eagerness in recent weeks to play in this year’s game because it is being played in Toronto. Not only because it was the first All-Star Game outside of the US, but because it was hosted by the team he spent his first seven years in the league with, the Toronto Raptors.
This was Bosh’s 11th straight All-Star selection, and Sunday would have been his 10th appearance. He will come off the bench for the Eastern Conference on Sunday and compete in the Three-Point Contest on Saturday.
Portland’s C.J. McCollum will fill Bosh’s spot in the 3-point event, keeping that field at eight as planned.

A year ago, he was hospitalized shortly after the All-Star Game with blood clots in his lungs, and doctors told him the issue likely began developing with the strained calf he suffered in December 2014. Well in lieu of throwback Tuesday, NBA edition; members of the Miami Heat paid homage to the sitcom by recreating the themes intro to the series.
“It means a lot to me and my foundation to be able to give back to every All-Star city, and in Toronto we wanted to do something special for some teams and groups that earned it”, he said. “You pull for those kind of guys even more than the usual just-good player”. The one thing you can take from it, though, is he has great perspective. Growing up, I always thought that record was untouchable.
