Bernie Sanders was asked the question.
And a third – the most biting – was to portray Sanders’ call for revolutionary change as a thinly veiled, even disloyal, indictment of President Barack Obama. Yes, Sanders backers say theyre frustrated with a system they believe is rigged for the wealthy.
On the foreign policy front, Sanders criticized Clinton for her warm relationship for Henry Kissinger, who served as secretary of state under Republican President Richard Nixon during the Vietnam War.
Sanders outstripped Clinton’s campaign in fundraising last month by pulling in large sums from small donations collected online.
“He was never a Democrat”.

In her closing arguments, Clinton said that Americans live in a “single-issue country” with many barriers needed to be broken, including racism, sexism, and discrimination: “We’ve got to stand up for unions and working people who have done it before, the American middle class, and those being attacked by ideologues and demagogues”.
Sanders has performed better than anticipated, handily beating Hillary Clinton in the New Hampshire primary and narrowly losing in Iowa. “Americans haven’t had a raise in 15 years”, Clinton said. Sanders characterized the fiery exchange over Obama as a “low blow” that questioned Sanders’ position as “a United States senator … to disagree with the president”.
“This is the beginning of the campaign”, and “for my brother to speak on behalf of the skills I have to lead this country will be quite helpful”, Jeb Bush said.

After noting that “relations between the races” hadn’t gotten better under Obama, Judy Woodruff asked him: “So race relations would be better under a Sanders presidency than they’ve been?” On his campaign website, Sanders says he has a “long history of fighting for social equality and the rights of black Americans – a record that goes back to the early 1960s”.
Both candidates sought to appeal to black voters Friday.
At least a dozen Black Caucus members are expected to fan out across the state to boost Clinton’s campaign in the state. Coates has been critical of Sanders opposition to reparations for slavery, but said that he was “stunned” by Sanders’ ascension to political relevance.
