Shah Rukh’s car stoned in Ahmedabed, none injured

Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s auto was allegedly stoned by a group of people who chanted “Jai Shree Ram, ” here on Sunday. While Shah Rukh clearly was misconstrued and his remarks were twisted, no one paid heed to what he actually meant.

“Unknown persons pelted stones at Shah Rukh Khan’s auto in Ahmedabad in early morning hours”, India’s news wire service, Asian News International, said on Twitter. The outfit’s State spokesperson Raju Patel said the detained persons are associated with VHP and threw stones on Shahrukh’s auto as part of their ongoing protests against the actor. They had also burnt his film’s posters and shouted slogans against the actor; and now his vehicle has been attacked in Ahmedabad.

By police examiner V G Rathod, “An instance of revolting has been enlisted against 8-10 persons and procedure is on to capture”.

A few days ago, shooting of SRK’s Raees was disrupted in Bhuj.

Ever since Mr. Khan made remarks on the rising intolerance, he has been targeted by right-wing elements.

Shah Rukh participated in shooting of couple of scenes at Sarkhej Roja mosque and dargah campus.

The actor, who is shooting for his film Raees in Gujarat, was not at the hotel when the vandals struck around 4.30am, police said.
