Katy Perry Invites Taylor Swift To Grammy Party: Is The Feud Over?

The “Unconditional” singer, who isn’t attending Monday night’s (February 15) Grammy Awards, is nevertheless planning a pre-ceremony dinner for music’s “creators”, and noted that T. Swift has received an invitation – attendance is “just up to [her] schedule”.

Earlier this month, Katy Perry was the date of rumored boyfriend Orlando Bloom during the birthday celebration of his manager held at the Sunset Tower. Both Taylor and Adele refuse to have their music streamed on Spotify, the party host.

Kanye West might have reignited a formally squashed feud with Taylor Swift after rapping about her on his new album, but the “Shake It Off” singer could be on the verge of reconciling her reportedly troubled friendship with Katy Perry.

With Spotify being a sponsor for the event, she’s invited singers from the Spotify Discover playlist. “I’m trying to keep it as pure as possible because in the eight years that I’ve been going to these things, I am just always so exhausted”. She says she looks forward to watching them from the comfort of her home in her pajamas.

“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not”, Taylor told Rolling Stone mag – refusing to outright name Katy as her target. “In some ways, I’m trying to start the Met Ball of music”.

Perry fired back with a cryptic message about “Regina George in sheep’s clothing” as media quickly referred the unnamed star to her. She later suggested in an interview that Swift’s “sweetheart” reputation was nothing more but a media narration. Swift not only has tension with Perry, but she famously rallied against Spotify during the release of album 1989, which she withheld from the service. She said, “I’m taking a little time”.
