Pokémon 20th Anniversary is Celebrated in Mario Maker and Splatoon
Two very not-Pokémon games are honoring everybody’s favorite collectible monsters with Pokémon-themed events to celebrate the franchise’s 20th anniversary. You can see for yourself in a recent “I Choose You!” To get them all you will have to do is do the three event courses. To unlock the new costumers, you need to clear a special event course and use the different costumes to unlock the alternatives. As well as plenty of Pokemon-related promotions, we’re also getting some cool cross-promotions. These unevolved versions of Bulbasaur, Charmander, & Squirtle are probably the most believable Super Mario Maker Pokemon Costumes to be integrated in the game.
Mario Maker has been a big success since Nintendo figured out it would be easier to let its players make levels for its Mario games than trying to do it itself. (Pokemon, that is) Plus, with Pokemon Red and Blue sound effects for each Pokemon, combined with the Gym Leader victory theme playing as you reach the flagpole, the repetition should be rather pleasant.
