Snow, sleet and rain to hit Mid-Atlantic, Northeast today
Snow could accumulate 2-4 inches in northwestern parts of the state, with less accumulation closer to the coast.
Once we get the freezing rain, the storm weakens. It actually began to snow lightly in the Foothills earlier today. A mix of rain and snow is expected in the evening, possibly mixed with freezing rain.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the northern half of the Garden State from Monday to Tuesday, as a storm system looks to deliver a wintry mix of snow, ice, and rain. Sunny to partly cloudy for Saturday and Sunday with highs in the lower 60s.
This precipitation, in the likely form of rain for most spots, could be heavy at times especially late Tuesday morning and afternoon as temperatures will likely soar into the low 40s, at least. Temperatures will be above freezing aloft and, eventually at the surface.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for most Pantagraph-area counties until 6 p.m. Sunday.
