Thompson beats teammate Curry in 3-point contest
It’s something Golden State has been on pace to do all season, and refreshingly enough, it’s a goal that the Warriors have collectively never once shied away from.
Thompson, who also had the best score in the first round, beat out Curry in the final round.
Jordan hasn’t said anything publicly about the Warriors creeping up on the ’96 Bulls – the Dubs sit at 48-4 – but he was in Toronto with the rest of the NBA’s best for All-Star weekend. Thompson finished the final round with 27 points, four more than Curry managed as once again, the title came down to the two Golden State sharpshooters. Thompson is averaging just over 21 points per game for Golden State this season.
“He was cool to talk to, he gave me a lot of props, told me to tell my pops hi and my uncle”, Thompson said.
According to Klay Thompson, the Warriors have Michael Jordan’s blessing. With his shooting on point, and good health Thompson’s can really show what he was capable of. The splash brothers can not be left alone for a moment, because as soon as a defender blinks they have already risen up with their lightning-quick release to drain a three.
As time was winding down in the West’s 196-173 win in the 2016 NBA All-Star Game, Stephen Curry did something absolutely ridiculous. Thompson is the best three-point shooter in the league.
