Baftas 2016: Which unlikely actress did Leonardo DiCaprio smooch?

This year’s ceremony introduced a Kiss Cam-which, according to host Stephen Fry, is one of America’s gifts to the world-and they did not hold back on who to put under the lens.

The 41 year old actor was on the Kiss Cam along with the 81 year old Harry Potter actress, Maggie Smith and Leo didn’t waste any moment as he immediately went for a peck.

An audience kiss cam swept over the stars at the beginning of the Baftas and Leo didn’t hesitate to get involved.

It also also captured Rebel Wilson sharing a steamy snog with Eddie Izzard. The kiss cam also focussed on Steve Jobs star Michael Fassbender and his rumoured girlfriend, Alicia Vikander, but the two just smiled and didn’t kiss each other.

Some viewers admitted via social media that the whole situation was awkward, but the romantics out there thought it was an adorable bit of innocent fun between a bunch of celebratory celebs and a nice way to give a nod to Valentine’s Day.

Appearing onscreen during the start of the show at London’s Royal Opera House, DiCaprio was coerced into delivering a sweet kiss on Maggie Smith’s cheek – much to her delight.
