Luke Bryan, Others Pay Tribute to Lionel Richie at 2016 Grammys
Meghan Trainor sang “You Are the Sun, You Are the Rain”, and Tyreese rounded out the cast of eclectic pop performers with “Brick House”.
Stapleton performed an acoustic version of Richie’s song, “Lady”, which was written by Richie and first recorded by country artist, Kenny Rodgers in 1980. A singer who has consistently failed to achieve success worthy of her musical prowess came out, put on a vocal masterclass and won no less than director Ava DuVernay over.
But then, the night went really insane when Richie himself surprisingly joined the whole crew on stage for the final moments of the medley in which they all together sang “All Night Long”.
John Legend kicked off the star-studded performance, with a piano medley of Richie’s “Easy”, which honored the crooner, who is the 2016 MusiCares Person of the Year – the charitable arm of the award show.

Four-time Grammy victor Lionel Richie said he has never met Adele, but he’d love to say hello. Nevertheless, Richie being feted on music’s biggest night is enough thanks.
Richie is no stranger to the Grammys. When you meet Lionel, that’s what you leave with: “what a good person he is”.
