No pressure for Ranieri and League leaders Leicester
William Hill, an England-based bookmaker, had the Foxes as 5,000-1 long shots to win the Premier League before this season.
“They had a decisive test against Liverpool and City”, said Wenger.
“You can protest before and after, but during the game, you want everybody to be there”, he said adding that every moment should be savoured.
“He hates players that get exhausted and make silly mistakes”.
“When you are young why do you want become a footballer?”
“He was the manager who signed me”. His dizzying footwork has made him a social media phenomenon and with 22 Algeria caps, he is now an established global for the land of his father’s birth. He wasn’t easy to work for.
The Gunners simply must win, though pushing too hard could see them caught out at the back.
“The pressure is on the others”. “It is true that sometimes the less time you have to wait for the next game, the better it is”.
“Everyone needs to help everyone else, if not he’ll take you out of the team”. Aguero has always been regarded as one of the world’s best strikers. He likes discipline too. With Chelsea still finding their footing under Guss Hiddink, they’ve got a chance to stun a bigger, tougher team and get a relative degree of safety while they’re at it.
Arsenal are likely to choose the same squad that saw off Bournemouth.
De Goey: “He can adapt very well to opponents”.
“In the last week they have solid potential to win the league with two positive results against Liverpool and Manchester City away”.
Geremi: “Of course I’m surprised”.
“Once you are top of the league, you can also think about losing what you have”, he said.
Ranieri thinks Leicester are flying so high partly because the more established names are under-performing: “A little team is fighting [for the title]. Why?” Jamie Vardy and N’Golo Kante have dealt out their fair share of bloody noses for Leicester this season, but it is Mahrez who Ranieri describes as the team’s “reference point”.
Why do you think Ranieri is doing so well at Leicester?
Football without fans is nothing: Arsenal supporters have protested about ticket prices in the past. “It’s a great story, so why the pressure, let’s enjoy it”.
Arsenal themselves back-tracked a week ago after initially announcing a surcharge for season ticket holders for next year to cover the cost of their ticket for the forthcoming Champions League tie with Barcelona.
“We want to continue to dream with our fans and we want to continue to dream”, he said.
Leicester City is very lucky with injuries, or absence of them, so Ranieri will have his full crop of players to choose from for the trip to London.
“He knew I didn’t speak much English when I arrived, so he spoke more slowly to me and he tried to teach me good things as well”. They’re just words though, not points. Tottenham have averaged 16.7 shots per match, whereas Man City have tried 17.3 to top the league in that regard.
