LG announces X screen with secondary display
SEOUL, Feb. 16, 2016 – LG Electronics (LG) will unveil its new LG Stylus 2, the enhanced sequel to the G4 Stylus, at MWC 2016 to be held in Barcelona, Spain. Two new phones from this X Series include the X cam with dual rear camera and the X screen which features an LG V10-style second screen. In the press release sent out on February 15, LG said that the phone will be offered at a “price that rivals mid-range smartphones”. He said the company thinks that there’s room for devices that having forte and that customers shouldn’t have to pay for features that they don’t want.
Specs aside, the phone is set to feature a whole slew of new software tweaks to take advantage of the included stylus. Like last year’s model it features a 5.7-inch screen and a stylus for taking notes and drawing, as well as a few cool tricks up its sleeve. This 1.76in secondary screen sits above the main 4.93in HD display to help with multi-tasking on the device, allowing users to access frequently used apps, answer calls without interrupting the current activity or just play music. Today, the company has announced the successor to LG Stylus from past year, dubbed the Stylus 2. Apart from this, the phone is equipped with 1.14GHz octa-core processor and has an 8MP front and two rear units, 13MP and 5MP. Available colors are white, gold, pink gold and titan silver. Both phones are expected to launch in Asia, Europe and Latin America starting next month. The LG X Cam comes out with dual cameras, as well as a 3D bending glass with a curved finish. We’re also betting on that Always On display for the upcoming LG G5. LG says the handset is “exceptionally-priced”, but it is yet to reveal details.
Although LG’s mobile payment method will undeniably compete with Samsung’s own service, it’s becoming more obvious that LG isn’t necessarily doing things the Samsung way.
It’s got a no-name quad core chipset, 1.5GB of RAM and a 13MP camera on the rear (with an 8MP option on the front for the “look at me, being all productive” selfies we like to send to our bosses three to five times per day). The phone draws its juice from a 2,300mAh battery and runs the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
LG isn’t stating when its Android 6.0 phablet will dispatch or the amount it’ll cost when it does.
