Episode 9 premiered with bloodbath
AMC just recently released a clip for the first four minutes of episode 9 in which Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), and Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) are ambushed by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan)’s team. Apparently he doesn’t like when someone asks him who Negan is, or any questions for that matter.
It appears as if Ron is going to kill Rick, but Michonne (Danai Gurira) comes up behind him and impales him with her katana. Glenn’s plan is to distract the walkers and have Enid climb up the tower and rescue Maggie. So it’ll be interesting to see how Carl’s relationships with others, kids especially, will change, since it was Ron who shot his eye out. Jessie too, is caught and eaten alive by the zombies.
He blamed Rick for their death and he took aim at the leader, only for Michonne to swoop in and cut Ron in half with her sword. Father Gabriel tells them that he will take Judith to the church and keep her safe until they are able to get the walkers away. However, Carl was still injured to some extent, as he lost his eye.
Yeah, I never had a Scooby Doo what that meant either, but suffice to say, Carl would probably see my point of view, at least one side of it. And if you’ve watched No Way Out, that’s not hard to decipher.
The synopsis didn’t say if Rick’s team will finally get to meet the vicious Negan but chances are high that they will.
In the comics, Carl remained in coma for quite a long time after the horrific incident, but since the character squeezed Rick (Andrew Lincoln’s) hand at the end of the midseason premiere, it seems that he will be back up on his feet soon. He grabs an ax and goes outside! Rick needs Daryl and what’s more, Rick wants Daryl around because they are stronger and better because he’s there. In the aftermath, Rick confides in an unconscious Carl that seeing everybody come together and fight has reminded him what they’re doing and he’s inspired. Every season it looks like the show continues to find another way to evolve the way in which they are used.
The Walking Dead continues on AMC tonight with all its gory goodness with an all new Sunday February 14, Season 6 winter premiere called “No Way Out” and we have your weekly recap below. He explained to his eyeless son that he was wrong about the people of Alexandria. But they did and they can rebuild the walls and expand them. Showrunner Scott Gimple also said it will be worse. Kirkman told EW, “Alexandria is kind of a gateway to this larger world, to rebuilding some semblance of civilization”. He begs him to wake up and let that happen.
