Huge triceratops blocks traffic in the night on the Isle of Wight
A photo of the obstruction was taken by Chris Hollingshead, who spotted it when he was driving home from work on Saturday morning and later posted a photograph on social media. It could be a ball or a tree branch or maybe even a huge triceratops blocking your way home.
It wasn’t negligent owners that allowed this triceratops to wander the roadways and block traffic on the Isle of Wight in the United Kingdom late Friday night.
A replica triceratops was discovered in the middle of High Street, according to the Isle of Wight County Press.
While not hard to miss in daylight, Simpson said Goshilla was placed in a spot not terribly well lit at night, which could have been a real problem for motorists.
The triceratops was later returned to the garden by staff from Island Roads, which operates road maintenance on the island.
The dinosaur was moved back to the shop with the assistance of Island Roads staff and the road was reopened shortly afterward.
No one has come forward to claim responsibility for taking Godshilla on a little tour around the Isle of Wight, nor has the role of alcohol been confirmed – though it’s probably a safe bet.
“It must be the same people who tied balloons round its neck and put tinsel over it for Christmas”, said Lisa Choi, The Taverners owner. “They’ve gone one step further this time”. He reportedly bought the big guy in 2007 and has painted it pink in the past to advertise his shop.
“We will then have a fence up, so this can’t happen again”, Simpson said.
