Gunners confident Mesut Ozil will sign new £180000-a-week contract
According to reports from Marca that have spread like wildfire in the past 24 hours, Mesut Ozil has allegedly refused a new two-year contract and has made it very clear to the Arsenal back room that he is unsure about his future.
It is the Champions League, however, where Ozil’s concerns lie. However, a fixture against Barcelona is not going to be easy.
The German midfielder has stalled on new contract talks, and may decide to trade North London from Barcelona. Though it doesn’t guarantee anything.
Midfielder Ozil is now Arsenal’s top earner, along with Alexis Sanchez, on £130,000-a-week and is enjoying his best season at the club with 16 assists – the most in the Premier League.
“The way we stop Mesut Ozil is as a team”.
Arsenal’s players trained at the club’s London Colney base on Saturday ahead of their crunch title clash with Leicester at the Emirates. Carlo Ancelotti tweeted a picture of himself braving the cold on the terraces as he watched Arsenal take on league leaders Leicester. A number of media reports have speculated that the new Bayern coach-to-be may have been taking a closer look at Mesut Özil.
Our landlord believes this is massive for Arsenal, as he sees Ozil as the key figure to build a successful side upon.
Marca also reported that Barcelona are very interested in player’s situation and they will prepare a bid for him this summer.
