PlayStation Plus Multiplayer Is Free From Feb. 19-21
The beta test will take place in early March, and those who are accepted will receive an email from Sony with instructions on how to download the beta update to their PS4. Starting today you can sign up to be a beta tester and get a sneak peek at some of the features making their way to your PS4.
If selected, Sony said it will contact you with further details a bit closer to the system software’s slated March launch.
Quite what they’ll be though isn’t yet clear: Sony has yet to confirm what new features it has in store for PS4, or when the system update will roll out publicly.
This isn’t the first time Sony has had a beta period for the PS4’s firmware update, and it probably won’t be the last. All you have to do is sign-up at this link and join the forums. One word of warning though – you’ll need a master account to get involved.
According to a post over at the official PlayStation Blog, signups have already begun for the next beta system software update for PlayStation 4.
We also have news of an update to the PlayStation Now service and if you love Batman and LEGO then boy have we got a treat for you.
If Sony really wanted to incentivize PlayStation Plus subscriptions for those who don’t play online games that often, they should really start to offer their early back catalog as PS Plus free games.
