Mourinho Tells Friends: I Will Become Next Man Utd Manager

Sources close to the former Chelsea boss Mourinho have claimed it is nearly a “done deal” that he will succeed Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford in the summer.

Despite his side facing a real battle to qualify for next season’s Champions League, Van Gaal insists he remains on the right track with United, insisting he had to make some tough calls when he arrived at the club.

But while Van Gaal has struggled to handle the pressure of managing England’s most successful ever club, Lampard does not think he will have such a problem.

United have not commented on the suggestion they are interested in hiring Mourinho although Van Gaal reacted angrily when asked about the rumours following the Red Devils’ 1-1 draw at Chelsea on Sunday.
