Both children were at the Days Inn on East Kellogg according to a release from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation’s web site. David Hatcher was driving a light blue 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis with a temporary Arkansas license tag.
“The suspect then exited the vehicle, going into the motel room, taking a 5 year old and a 2-year-old little girl which were his, he got into his vehicle and left”, said Lt. James Espinoza, Wichita Police Department. He is still at large.
The girlfriend and another 1 year-old daughter that was with her weren’t hurt.
