Amy Schumer Responds In Hilarious Manner To Taylor Swift ‘Body Shaming’ Accusations
Amy Schumer has taken to Instagram to address a joke she made about Taylor Swift’s “thigh gap” at the 2016 Grammys. “Taylor that’s not a thigh gap”, she quipped.
On Wednesday afternoon, Schumer responded to the furor by posting another photo of herself to Instagram, this time with a beard drawn onto her face. This is a thigh gap, ‘ Amy captioned the image. I am a comic and should never make fun of myself at the expense of anyone else that I wasn’t making fun of in the first place.
The comedian shared a snap on Instagram of herself and a friend mucking about in bikinis, and got more than she bargained for.
As we know, Taylor Swift rocked up to the Grammys in a thigh-baring orange Versace crop top, bright pink knickers and a front split skirt which flashed her incredible pins.
Even if hurled as a joke, most fans weren’t having the remark from the always vocal Schumer.
Instagram Schumer set Instagram afire with this photo, claiming “This is a thigh gap”. “I’m glad your proud of you body and that great but to make you proud your putting down someone else”, one user commented. But the thing is, u understand you’re a comedian but don’t you think it also hurts Taylor’s feelings?
It’s not the first time the Trainwreck actress has appeared to make a dig at another woman’s body shape.
“You have personal issues if you are skinny shaming”. On October 10, 2015, her opening set on “Saturday Night Live” included this punchline about Khloé Kardashian: “We used to have Khloe, Khloe was ours, right? She lost a Kendall, and we have nothing”, Schumer tweeted previous year.
While others said she was clearly just making a joke and not taking aim at the singer at all.
