Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio has landed the coveted endorsement of South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley. “My record on it is in Florida, after the Kelo decision which said the government could help a private developer to take private property away, Florida was the first state in the country to respond with a law that prevented that, and I was the one who wrote that law”, Rubio said. “Trust me, she’s a great person”.

Many polls show billionaire businessman Donald Trump leading the field of Republican candidates, which includes Rubio.

In 2012 elections, she had endorsed Mitt Romney, the party’s eventual nominee.
A spokesman says Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders doesn’t “believe that gender should be the reason we vote for or against anyone”.
Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush told reporters on Wednesday that he was “disappointed” he didn’t get her backing.
“Our campaign had absolutely nothing to do with this fraudulent Facebook post”, Cruz wrote on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday.
If Haley was looking for a horse to ride to victory on Saturday, she chose the wrong candidate. “His optimistic message is bringing voters from across the party lines, from across different demographic groups”, said Jindal who himself dropped out of the presidential race in November after failing to get any traction in the polls”, Jindal said.
