Clinton’s lead narrows in CNN Poll of Polls
“I’ll do all the worrying, is that a deal?”
It’s a lesson from the playbook Barack Obama ran in 2008 to edge Clinton on delegates, even though she turned out more supporters than her rival.
Following the text message, supporters received a robocall from the campaign, including audio of Sanders calling for Obama to have a challenger in the 2012 election. Clinton is locked in “Goldman handcuffs”, a term increasingly used in the campaign to describe the constraint generated by Sanders’ criticism of the huge speaking fees she has collected from Goldman Sachs and other Wall Street firms.
Clyburn will announce his endorsement, first reported by Buzzfeed, at an event at Allen University in Columbia, South Carolina Friday morning. Everything the president does is wonderful.
WASHINGTON (AP) – So much for Bernie Sanders’ big win in New Hampshire. “That’s trying to win support from the African-American community where the President is enormously popular”, Sanders said. “I don’t think we know that now”, she said. It’s true. You know it’s true.
Now to shift gears to the other side of the issue.
“Brave” was reportedly filmed during a roundtable with a group of young illegal immigrants at Clinton’s Las Vegas campaign headquarters.
But 16 percent of Democratic registered voters still say they don’t yet know enough about Sanders to form an opinion.
Please understand that Bernie may in fact be more electable than Hillary, whom a majority of Americans polled found to be dishonest.
“I’m happy to release anything I have whenever everybody else does the same”, she said.
Sanders said that he thinks overall Obama has “done an outstanding job” and that Obama is “a friend of mine” but said that it’s only natural for senators to have differences with presidents.
Sanders is also more likely to be viewed as very or somewhat honest than he was in December. He had an uncomfortable moment when he was asked to listen to a clip of a radio interview in which he had suggested the president should face a primary in his re-election race in 2012.
“Some changes need to be made, some major changes – he’s addressing them”, he said.
“It is absolutely incomprehensible that we have Republicans in the U.S. Senate – my colleagues in the Senate – who refuse to honor the Constitution of the United States”, Sanders said at the meeting.
While the non-super delegates are allocated based on how people vote in the various state caucuses and primaries, the superdelegates are “unbound”, meaning they can choose who they want.
The 60 second ad is the product of recent efforts by Hillary’s campaign to endear her to immigrant voters with the Saturday caucuses in Nevada just around the corner.
Clinton and Sanders will continue their battle Thursday night at a Las Vegas town hall airing on MSNBC.
This time around, she is maintaining strong support among the party’s “establishment” thus far, despite the fact that the race is tight in some primaries and caucuses.
Clinton led Sanders in the Fox poll by as many as 46 points last summer, and had a 22-point lead as recently as two months ago. That’s still a big lead, no doubt.
Sanders outspent Clinton in SC advertising as of this week ($878,000 to $712,000), while each campaign racked up more than $3 million in advertising in the Silver State, according to data from tracking company SMG Delta, reported by NBC News.
