Standing pat: Hawks let deadline pass without major trade
Even though the Atlanta Hawks still haven’t technically decided whether or not they’re going to actually trade Al Horford, there appears to be a favorite in the clubhouse.
Losing out on Teague is a tough blow for the Knicks, as many considered him as an upgrade to what they had at the point guard position; an aging Jose Calderon and a raw, inexperienced Jerian Grant.
Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reported the update on Thursday to put a stop on the trade rumors involving Atlanta Hawks players.
Jeff Green joined the Los Angeles Clippers and Markieff Morris moved to Washington in a largely tepid end to the NBA’s trade deadline day.
Now the teams that i feel are more of a 50/50 chance……
Horford, too, draws interest from several teams.
The Atlanta Hawks are no longer listening to offers for point guard Jeff Teague. 17, 2016, he expects to remain in Atlanta, and he is the ideal fit for coach Mike Budenholzer’s system. The Vertical’s Chris Mannix said Friday the Hawks would have a very high asking price for Horford in a trade, and Horford is in the final year of a five-year, $60 million contract, meaning the Celtics would need to resign him if they wanted to keep him in Boston.
