New Star Wars spectacular and fireworks coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Just in time for spring, that “galaxy far, far away” will be closer than ever with the April 4 arrival of the new Star Wars live entertainment experience Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away and a menacing First Order stormtrooper procession at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
A team of amateur archivists have reportedly obtained an original 35mm print of 1977’s Star Wars, and has spent the past few years working to clean it up and restore the film to its original state. However, this version was lifted from the 1995 Laserdisc home release, and is therefore still subject to some adjustment from Lucas. “It’s like this is the movie I wanted it to be, and I’m sorry you saw half a completed film and fell in love with it”.
Well, some fans chose to take matters into their own hands.
Mayhew has the original folder in which the script came titled, “Journal of the Whills”.

The additions follow the opening of Launch Bay – a merchandise and character meet-and-greet location – and Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, a retooling of the Jedi Training Academy offering to include “Star Wars Rebels” elements. Now, they’ve leaked the finished product online – providing what is arguably the best quality, and most authentic, version of the film as it originally existed. Silver is an attempt at recreating the original release, warts (softer picture, slightly washed out colors) and all.
Honestly, just knowing this is out there and that it probably irritates the heck out of George Lucas puts a smile on my face.
