McDonald’s test runs new Chicken McGriddle
The fast food world exploded at the recent revelation that McDonald’s is testing a Chicken McGriddle sandwich.
It’s called the Chicken McGriddle and it’s a fried chicken patty with a pair of maple-syrup flavored buns.
McDonald’s has confirmed it is testing the Chicken McGriddle, a chicken-and-pancake breakfast sandwich. If you want to try this intriguing sandwich you’ll need to be prepared to travel, though.
The mouth-watering item is the creation of Brian Mortellaro, who owns eight McDonald’s locations in Ohio.
If customers respond favorably, the test could be expanded to other OH locations later this year, with the possibility of a national roll-out later. ‘I just think that’s something that isn’t out there right now’.
Mortellaro cited both the Filet-o-Fish and Big Mac as examples of McD’s staples that tumbled out of the heads of franchise owners.
CBF reports the chicken-and-waffle inspired sandwich is being tested at two prices ($1.49 and $2.00) and will be available until March 27.
