David Bowie’s son throws cryptic dig at Lady Gaga following Grammys tribute
Singer Lady Gaga attends The 58th GRAMMY Awards at Staples Center on February 15, 2016 in Los Angeles, California.
While the meaning of Duncan’s tweet is not entirely clear, the message has sparked speculation from the Twittersphere that he wasn’t impressed with Gaga’s tribute to his late father, who died of cancer aged 69 last month.
Nile Rodgers has defended Lady Gaga’s Grammys tribute to David Bowie after the singer’s medley performance was criticised by some viewers and critics.
“Overexcited or irrational, typically as a result of infatuation or excessive enthusiasm; mentally confused”.
Film director Duncan Jones, the son of Bowie and his first wife Angie, made a cryptic post on Twitter following Monday’s Grammy awards show in which he shared a dictionary definition of the word “gaga”. We’re interested in what Gaga’s original plans were mind, as this was originally planned before David Bowie passed away and before it became a tribute.
Many took to social media to complain that the memorial was being used and exploited to promote the technology company.
On Saturday, the 29-year-old celebrated her upcoming performance by getting a large tattoo of Bowie on her side by celebrity tattoo artist Mark Mahoney.
If Lady Gaga has seen the tweet, she hasn’t responded on Twitter.
“I can’t express to you, I don’t know who I’d be if I didn’t have (him as) a figure in my life”.
Gaga performed 10 David Bowie songs, bolstered by Intel’s impressive visuals, which were meant to convey the many stylistic changes Bowie took through his 50-year career. “GG (Gaga) is talented but that “tribute” missed the spirit of Bowie entirely”, as another commented, “I’m just gonna say it was terrible & leave it at that”.
As for Jones, Bowie’s son is ramping up for a couple big events this summer.
